autobiography of akshay kumar with why choosed modelling
One of his students happened to be a photographer and recommended him to do modelling. The student gave him a modelling assignment for a small company. For his two hours posing in front of the camera, he got Rs. 5,000, compared to his previous salary of Rs. 4,000 in one month. That was one of the main reasons why he chose to be a model.

How Rajiv Bhatia became Akshay Kumar
Jayesh Sheth words : Jayesh Sheth was one of akshay kumar's close friends, and helped Akki find a foothold in Mumbai. He tells Patcy N what akshay kumar first did for a living in Mumbai, his struggling days and I met akshay kumar in 1985. In those days, he was called Rajiv Bhatia. He looked different from now -- he had a moustache and long hair. He was taking dance and acting lessons from (actress) Madhumati. I never thought he would become an actor then though he was good looking and a good dancer. But he was not like a hero. I had visited the acting classes to do someone's portfolio, when akshay kumar came up to me and requested me to just take a photograph. He wanted to go up to the terrace and do a stunt -- he wanted to climb on the water tank and dive from there. I thought he was mad but he actually did it -- just for a photograph.

Akshay kumar talked a lot about his Bangkok days, where he learnt martial arts, and survived as a chef. He was a big fan of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. He would also talk about making his movie debut.

Being with me, he got a chance to meet stars. He learnt about stardom, how the actors work, how they behave, the way the industry works... He would see how actors would dress for photoshoots, and ask me to take the same kind of pictures.

I took him on the sets of Angaar, where I was supposed to take Jackie Shroff's photographs. Jackie encouraged akshay kumar by saying that he should be in front of the camera, not behind it. Akshay kumar got very excited with that statement, and was very happy that day.

I agreed to do his photoshoot on the condition that akshay kumar would shave off his moustache. I thought his personality was hidden behind his moustache. He did not want to shave it off -- he said that for Punjabis, a moustache was the sign of mardaangi (manhood). Finally, he shaved it off, and the next day, we shot his portfolio in Madh Island. Earlier, only stars got colour pages in magazines, newcomers got a black and white slot. But after my request, my editor gave akshay kumar a full colour page on G magazine, with a story. (Director) Pramod Chakravorty saw his picture, and contacted the G magazine office. He met akshay kumar, and signed him on for Deedar.

biography of akshay kumar's Personal life
He earlier dated Shilpa Shetty and Raveena Tandon. After being engaged twice to actress Twinkle Khanna, the daughter of veteran actors Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, he finally married her on 14 January 2001. Their son named Aarav was born on 15 September 2002.

In 2007, a leading Mumbai tabloid newspaper printed a story saying that Kumar and his wife had fallen out and Kumar had moved out of his home, staying at a hotel instead. On 26 July 2007 the couple sent a legal notice to the tabloid, declaring that the rumour was false. Kumar said: “ The article is a clear representation of careless and irresponsible journalism. The freedom of press comes with responsibilities, which seems to have been put aside to give way to shock value journalism.”

An FIR was registered by the Vakola Police on April 2009 against Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna under Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code for an act during the Lakme Fashion Week in which Khanna unbuttoned the jeans of Kumar.
